Our story

Hamiota is a vibrant rural community, and one we are proud to call home. It’s also a community where residents are eager to ensure that it continues to thrive and be a great place to live, work, and play. We know that for this to occur it is up to area residents to shape the community we desire.

The newly established volunteer-driven Hamiota & Area Community Alliance is an initiative designed to advance community priorities in a manner that engages residents, builds community spirit, economic activity, and enhances lifestyle. This grass-roots initiative strives to strengthen and support the resources that make our community a great place to live.
